App Design - Art Canada Institute
For this project, I designed a mobile app for the Art Canada Institute (ACI) to showcase Norval Morrisseau's "Spiritual Vision" exhibit. Morrisseau is a huge figure in contemporary Indigenous art, and I wanted the app to be a true reflection of his impact. The goal was to create an engaging and interactive experience that helps users dive into his life and artwork. The app lets users explore a visual timeline of his work and interact with it in new ways—like seeing his art on different materials—to really connect with the textures and layers that define his style.

I made sure to use colors inspired by Morrisseau’s iconic reds and earth tones, keeping everything authentic and true to his art. The design is simple but vibrant, making the app accessible and engaging for people who love art and want to learn more about Indigenous culture. Whether users are art enthusiasts or part of Indigenous communities looking to connect with their roots, I wanted this app to help spread awareness of Morrisseau’s legacy and his role in shaping Canadian art. The design also focuses on accessibility, with features like voice controls and large, easy-to-use buttons, making it inclusive for everyone.
