Ad Campaign - Kingston Canadian Film Festival
Designing this poster for the Kingston Canadian Film Festival (KCFF) was a special opportunity for me as a student living in Kingston. This festival is such a vibrant part of our community, and I poured a lot of care into creating something that felt both personal and inviting.
Drawing inspiration from Kingston’s rich history and the timeless charm of cinema’s golden age, I used Art Deco elements to capture that classic, celebratory feel. The royal purple adds a lively, nighttime energy, while the sharp, modern lines bring a contemporary edge to engage today’s audiences. For me, it was about creating something that could connect with people, celebrating Canadian stories while embracing the spirit of our city.
In addition to the poster, I also designed social media posts and a billboard to extend the campaign across multiple platforms, ensuring the message reached a wider audience. Although my design was not selected for print, the experience was invaluable. It provided me with the opportunity to work with real clients and gain insight into the collaborative design process. I am grateful for the chance to apply my skills in a professional context and look forward to using the lessons learned in future projects.
